Job Summary
Process Technician provides hands-on support to Operations on a rotating shift, monitoring production activities for safety, quality control, and documentation; applying Lean Six Sigma tools (5S, Kaizen) to improve safety, quality, cost and production; performing root cause analysis, developing corrective/preventive actions, and preparing customer samples. The role offers a path to supervisory responsibilities within 2–3 years, with no direct reports, and requires adherence to Safety and SHE standards while contributing as a SME to process and quality issues on shift.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s degree preferred
- APICS Certification in production and inventory management (CPIM or CFPIM) or supply chain professional (CSCP)
- Five years’ experience in a manufacturing or quality setting
- Demonstrated ability to function as part of a team, and independently, in a high-performance work environment
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Knowledge of rolled goods, printing and/or continuous process manufacturing
- Knowledge of supply chain management including storage of raw materials, work in process inventory and finished goods from point of origin to point of consumption
- APICS Certification in production and inventory management (CPIM or CFPIM) or supply chain professional (CSCP)
