Job Summary
Conduct all aspects of the injection molding process, including setup, startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance. Direct and monitor the production schedule while performing mold and material changes to create cycle time reductions. Perform process troubleshooting, tooling setting, and part inspections to ensure conformity and quality. Prepare support equipment such as circulators and material dryers prior to startup and verify process monitoring logs and changeover checklists. Collaborate with Engineering on new product sampling and alternative material testing. This role operates the 2nd shift from 1pm to 9:30pm. Klein Tools designs and launches hundreds of groundbreaking products annually, prioritizing quality, innovation, and ownership.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Experience setting up and operating injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment, including robots
- Experience diagnosing process issues, making minor repairs, controlling quality, and maintaining high levels of uptime on machines
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand basic English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Ability to read measuring devices, i.e. micrometer, vernier calipers, Acu-Gauge, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blue prints
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
- Pushing/pulling weight (assisted), up to 2 hours per day (interruptive)
- Lifting weight, up to 35 lbs., up to 2 hours per day (interruptive)
Desired Qualifications
- Master Molder certification preferred
