Job Summary
Process Technician role focusing on start-up and checkout of converting equipment to ensure on-time, functional delivery of products. Responsibilities include assisting with start-up/check-out procedures, solving process issues with a methodical approach, completing line audits and documenting process changes, coordinating equipment upgrades, ensuring accurate documentation, providing plant and on-site customer training, participating in planning meetings, securing resources, and maintaining effective communication with customers, especially in high-pressure situations. Travel internationally for extended periods, contribute to safety and housekeeping, update standard action lists, and support both in-plant and customer locations with process improvements and tool/equipment use.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in electro-mechanical technology, engineering technology or equivalent experience
- 0 to 3 years converting equipment start up and process improvement experience
- Ability to travel internationally for extended periods of time, up to 50% per year
- Forklift certification and ability to safely drive a forklift
- Ability to use a lathe, drill press, welding equipment
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, tachometer, strobe light, temperature probe, high-speed camera, baler, calipers
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Solid understanding of electro-mechanical & pneumatic principles of operation
