Job Summary
As a Process Technician II at Applied Materials, you will prepare wafers for experimentation, operate reactors to perform thin film processes, and use scanning electron microscopes (SEM) for analyses and imaging. You will record process conditions and observations, perform routine maintenance, and evaluate wafers and thin films. Responsibilities include preparing cross-section samples for SEM analysis, identifying patterns of interest in imaging, operating SEM systems, and ensuring image quality requirements. You will also coordinate with requestors to understand detailed requirements, order equipment and supplies, and interact with vendors as needed. This role requires troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and process optimization to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency in manufacturing processes; experience with laboratory process equipment/instrumentation and clean-room environments is expected.
