Process Technician I

Job Summary
Apply scientific principles to improve production processes and ensure product quality by assisting with designing and planning manufacturing methods such as hardening, washing, laminating, etching, engraving, polishing, and plating. Establish production sequences, follow established procedures, and perform testing and measurements to monitor variables including temperature, pressure, density, viscosity, and specific gravity. Identify routine process issues and recommend practical solutions to improve efficiency while escalating non-routine or complex issues to appropriate team members. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working collaboratively within the immediate work group under close supervision.
Required Qualifications
- 0 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or process-related environment
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, terminology, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to perform testing, inspections, and measurements throughout the production process
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete work within established timeframes
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within the immediate work group
Desired Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree preferred
