Job Summary
Conduct electroless nickel plating of aircraft components, including preparation, part fixturing, masking, lacquering, and tank chemistry maintenance. Load and unload tanks, perform associated tooling and preventive maintenance, and use overhead cranes to move parts. Act as a cross-functional team member supporting various processes, participate in lean initiatives like 5S and TPM, and coordinate priorities between operators and shifts. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures while working weekend nights from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Maintain work techniques to customer specifications and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years of previous process chemistry background
- Prior plating experience
- Sound working knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, dial bore gauges and Elco meters
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Meet all requirements under ITAR
- Meet all requirements under CCGP
- Work Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 pm - 6:00 am
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience working with various hand tools
- Strong understanding of WHMIS
