Job Summary
Conduct chrome plating of aircraft components, including preparation, part masking, and tank/chemistry maintenance. Operate fixturing, loading, and unloading equipment while adhering to all safety policies and wearing appropriate PPE. Act as a cross-functional team member supporting other plating applications and participating in lean initiatives such as 5S and TPM. Coordinate priorities and process issues between operators and shifts. Perform other duties as required during a weekday afternoon shift from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 1 – 3 years previous process chemistry background
- Experience in measuring equipment such as calipers and Elco meters
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience in using various hand tools
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Meet all requirements under ITAR
- Meet all requirements under CCGP
- Weekday Afternoon (Monday-Thursday) 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Onsite
- Can fully achieve the responsibilities of the position within a training time of 3 months
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering
- Prior chrome plating experience
- Verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Demonstrated ability to work as a cross-functional employee
- Strong understanding of WHMIS
