Process Technician - 3rd Shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM)

Job Summary
Operate start-up and shut-down cycles for plastic injection molding machines, ensuring all subsystems remain operational. Debug process problems to improve part quality and yields, adjusting parameters and recommending efficiency changes to engineers. Document out-of-tolerance changes, develop standardized processes, and conduct tests requiring equipment modifications. Train associates on equipment and molds while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards. Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and coordinate sample builds with required testing and delivery. Adhere to strict safety protocols, including lock-out procedures and PPE usage, while reporting hazards and injuries immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods of time.
- Must maintain proper vision requirements
- Must be able to maintain alertness to their surroundings.
- Must have a current and valid Driver's License.
- Must have working knowledge of English
- An associate degree in plastics technology is preferred; or a minimum of three years' experience in processing thermoplastics and a documented commitment to professional self-improvement.
- A solid understanding of SPC concepts and practice.
- Excellent interpersonal/team skills with strong written and verbal skills.
- Previous training experience.
- Previous experience solving problems and making continuous improvements without direct supervision.
- Willingness to advance skills through on-the-job training and additional schooling.
- An AA degree in plastics technology and a minimum of three years' experience in a closely related field
- A minimum of seven years' experience in processing thermoplastics and a documented commitment to professional self-improvement
