Job Summary
Proactively replenish materials, components, tools, and supplies to work cells based on Kanban or pull systems. Ensure uninterrupted production flow by removing waste, empty bins, and scrap from workstations. Deliver calibrated tools, consumables, and part kits to technicians and assembly lines after conducting basic inspections for readiness. Communicate effectively with inventory control, logistics, and production teams to anticipate material needs while maintaining accuracy in material handling transactions via ERP. Support continuous improvement initiatives and follow all 5S, lean, and safety protocols. This role requires 1+ years of experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing, familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 standards, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The position is fully on-site at Empirical Systems Aerospace, Inc. in San Luis Obispo, CA, with a salary range of $24.00-$28.00/hr.
Required Qualifications

- Ability to stay focused to specific scope of work
- Must be able to pass background check and drug test
- US citizenship or US resident status
- 1+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, part numbers, and material tags
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills (for inventory, ERP, or material tracking systems)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and material flow concepts (e.g., Kanban, Just-in-Time)
- Familiarity with ISO9001/AS9100 standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
