Job Summary
Conduct research and plant support in the purification process to improve yield, productivity, and reduce manufacturing costs. Assist in developing processes, solving production system problems, and designing laboratory experiments for commercial scale-up. Ensure safety, environmental, and quality compliance by following policies, completing audits, and maintaining ISO standards. Collect and analyze information to troubleshoot process deviations, prepare work instructions, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with departments to implement cost-down ideas and strive for increased processing efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year degree in bio-processing or related field
- 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Knowledge of computers and electronic data processing
- Working knowledge of laboratory and analytical equipment
- Ability to transfer technical knowledge to practical applications
- Ability to design laboratory experiments for commercial plant scale up
- May be required to drive a car or truck
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Infrequently lifting up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Engineering/Science related field
