Job Summary
Coordinate new product development by selecting equipment, establishing timelines, and managing budgets across Manufacturing, Design, and Sales. Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, enhance operational efficiency, and maintain ISO 9001 standards. Develop and maintain ERP routing data while ensuring new products are tested and approved before full production initiation. Provide technical advice to Operations leadership on minting and manufacturing processes for precious metals and coin production.
Required Qualifications
- Must understand the precious metals, minting manufacturing processes, metallurgy, and a high level of knowledge and expertise in best practices as they pertain to the manufacture of blanks, coins and other minted products
- Must be able to manage multiple projects
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Must be able to identify and resolve barriers
- Must be able to meticulously track, document and drive new projects from conception through delivery
- Must possess superior organizational skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft products to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong customer focus is a must
- Good attendance is an essential function of the position
- Two-year college degree in mechanical discipline or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficient computer skills with 3-5 years' experience in Excel
- Basic Knowledge of Metallurgy as applied to precious metals
- Understands and applies lean manufacturing principles
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing process development preferred
- Advanced math skills and statistics preferred
