Job Summary
Process Sciences Cell Culture Associate on the 2nd shift to support small-scale cell culture experiments and essential lab operations in a client-focused lab. Responsibilities include media/buffer preparation, aliquoting and aseptic transfers, bioreactor builds and probe calibrations, autoclaving, running cell culture from shake flask to bioreactor, and assisting with sample analysis while maintaining accurate records. The role offers exposure to upstream bioprocessing, cross-functional teamwork, and opportunities to contribute to workflow improvements and training programs. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field, hands-on lab experience, and the ability to work 8:00 PM–4:30 AM shifts when needed. Location is Rensselaer, NY, in-person, full-time, Mon-Fri (2nd shift). Compensation ranges from $22.50–$23.50/hour plus a 10% second-shift differential (annualized: $46,800–$48,880).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related field
- Hands-on technical lab experience and demonstrated competence in basic lab techniques
- Experience with mammalian cell culture using aseptic technique (preferred)
- Familiarity with small-scale fed-batch bioreactors (2L) (preferred)
- cGMP experience is a plus
- Ability to work 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM shifts when needed
