Job Summary
Process/Quality Engineer responsible for improving manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. Provides technical leadership in process optimization, automation, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and new product launches while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, quality, and operational performance. Responsibilities include equipment concept/quoting/design/debugging/production; providing technical support and training to operations, tooling, maintenance, and outside vendors; troubleshooting process and hardware issues; working with programmable controllers, robots, and CNC equipment; supporting health, safety, and environmental policies; driving quality improvements through projects; specifying, ordering, and following up on equipment purchases; inspecting equipment for safety and improvements; maintaining equipment records and schedules; ensuring compliance with APQP/PPAP, FMEA, and SPC; and requiring a BS in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline
- Minimum three years of experience with a manufacturing facility of high volume and automated equipment
- Ability to read and create electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings
- Ability to identify, define, and resolve problems using data and structured methods
- Ability to develop and manage project plans, coordinate projects, communicate changes, and meet budgets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); familiarity with GD&T, MSA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and SPC
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no sponsorship expected)
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Team-oriented with focus on company objectives
