Job Summary
Analyze defective electronics components from customer sites and in-house rejections to implement corrective actions. Develop new testing equipment with cross-functional teams and map manufacturing processes to identify automation opportunities. Apply lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement, provide user training on new processes, and track emerging technologies to recommend innovative solutions. Collaborate with local functions to achieve quality targets and ensure sustainable operations. This onsite role in Richmond, VA supports the deployment of quality strategy, prevention, and root cause analysis for ABB's Smart Power division.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor in Electronics Engineering or related engineering field
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Proficiency in analyzing electronics components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics of electrical equipment and printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)
- Skilled in using electrical test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes and power analyzers
- Work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies
