Process Plant Technician

Job Summary
Conduct daily start of shift safety meetings and perform workplace safety inspections of the SX/EW plant and tank house. Collect and process copper, acid, and nitrate assays; maintain detailed logbooks and data entry. Coordinate with shift supervisors to adjust plant parameters, conduct daily circuit audits, and monitor pond levels. Facilitate product truck off-loading, collect composite and can samples daily, and deliver them to the lab. Keep work areas safe, clean, and uncluttered while adhering to hazardous material protocols. Work a 7-on, 7-off schedule with 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with potential overtime and adverse weather exposure.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current Valid Driver License with clean driving record
- Ability to maintain a positive, safe, team-oriented attitude
- Maintain productive work ethic
- Good communication skills and be able to demonstrate understanding of received communication
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Basic Math Skills
- Will be required to work 7 days on, 7 days off work schedule
- Work shifts are 12hr. or longer if needed
- May be required to work outside in adverse weather conditions at times
- Work is around hazardous materials, including sulfuric acid, kerosene, NG/LNG, and other chemicals
- Required to inspect work areas and perform safety walk through evaluations daily, which will entail walking, climbing stairs, lifting, and bending
- May be required to perform heavy lifting of 75lbs or more at times
- Must be able to work night shifts, day shifts, weekends, holidays, extended hours, overtime and be available to be called out for shift coverage as needed

- Personally motivated to obtain and apply knowledge of SX/EW operation parameters and operating procedures gained through training, operator's manuals, work experience and mentoring from co-workers and supervisor
