Job Summary
The Process Piping Engineer will deliver process piping design projects from various industries, ensuring high-quality project deliverables and adhering to applicable code requirements. This role requires effective communication with clients and project teams, along with the ability to independently evaluate design options and provide valuable recommendations. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in Autodesk Plant 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, with a technical foundation in developing 2D P&IDs and coordinating multi-discipline designs. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 2-8 years of relevant experience are necessary for success in this collaborative and demanding role.
Required Qualifications
- 2-8 years of applicable industry experience
- Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical, Mechanical, Construction Management or equivalent industry work experience
- Ability to read and understand drawings and technical specifications
- Proficient working with mechanical systems specifications (pipe, valves, insulation, etc.)
- Ability to develop 2D P&IDs in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of Industry Standards such as API, ASME, ASTM, PIP
- Ability to communicate design recommendations to clients and project teams
