Job Summary
Operate the DCS and manage ethanol processes including cook, distillation, evaporation, dryers, thermo oxidizer, centrifuges, grain system, and water treatment while adhering to Standard Operating Procedures for start-up, shut-down, and batching. Monitor production parameters, collect samples for laboratory testing, and adjust DCS settings based on results to maintain quality and consistency. Maintain accurate logs, keep facilities and control rooms clean, and coordinate with maintenance on mechanical issues. Brief incoming shift operators and communicate production problems to management. Participate in safety programs, training sessions, and occasional overtime or call-in work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to operate utility vehicle
- Must be hard working and self-motivated
- Detail-oriented; proficiency for accuracy; dependable; positive attitude; team player
- Ability to multi-task and take ownership of assigned projects
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to manage confined space entry
- Must be able to climb ladders and steps
- Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
- Must be able to work in dusty conditions
- Must be able to work in high noise environments
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to be exposed to chemicals used in the process
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be able to maintain ongoing work authorization without employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Must successfully pass a background check
