Job Summary
Process Mechanic – set up, troubleshoot, and maintain extrusion and injection blow molding equipment; perform preventive maintenance; operate associated systems; second shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) with overtime; requires mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical knowledge; ability to read blueprints/cap drawings and MSDS; strong written and verbal communication; must supply basic mechanic hand tools; vision 20-20; able to work in a temperature-controlled, on-site manufacturing environment; located in Boyertown, PA.
Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of mechanical experience required
- Industrial Maintenance degree or certificate, or similar education a plus
- Plastics industry experience a plus
- Demonstrated strong skills in set-up and repair in the plastics industry strongly preferred
- Vision must be correctable to ’20-20’ to read all necessary work related materials and visually identify defects in products being produced
- Hearing acuity sufficient to understand spoken instructions or phone conversations in a factory environment
