Process Manufacturing Specialist

Job Summary
Develop and standardize advanced manufacturing processes in the automotive industry with a focus on robotics, automation, and quality control. Supports cross-functional teams to optimize production efficiency, ensure product quality, and implement cutting-edge technologies across multiple plants. Requires extensive experience in process engineering and project management to drive continuous improvement initiatives and align manufacturing operations with company goals. Leads standardization efforts for welding, fixtures, gauges, and measurement systems; determines weld robot speeds by material type and thickness; drives QA standards (CPK/PPK) and process validation for final buy-off; collaborates with QA, design, and equipment teams to optimize fixtures, gauges, and measurement systems; develops AI-assisted tooling and automation concepts; and travels domestically to support various plants. Responsibilities include developing and implementing standards, leading committees for process improvements, and ensuring alignment with manufacturing and customer requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing/Process Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Process Development and Implementation
- Minimum 5 years of experience in working for an automotive manufacturing supplier
- Advanced Manufacturing Technology experience
- Travel domestically by car or plane
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for designing fixtures, gauges, and manufacturing layouts
- Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations
- Analytical thinking and business acumen
- Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability
- Project Management skills
