Job Summary
Oversee the Process Engineering function for foam manufacturing, leading a team of engineers and technicians to drive continuous improvement and cost control. Manage process performance, evaluate materials and methods, train staff, and collaborate with Production and Quality. Lead Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) efforts to minimize production issues, manage the departmental budget, maximize yield, and participate in health, safety, and quality audits and safety leadership programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of process engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory/management experience
- Thorough understanding of process equipment (automatic controls, metering systems, etc.)
- Experience in polyurethane foam formulation and processing
- Strong knowledge of urethane chemistry
- Experience in project coordination and leading teams
- Ability to troubleshoot process and production equipment issues effectively
- Proficient in computer skills
- Knowledge of HS&E policies and regulations
- Experience in implementing quality improvement programs (AQP, VAVE, Lean Manufacturing, etc.)
