Job Summary
Design and deliver end-to-end automated processes on the Celonis platform that resolve real customer cases without human intervention, spanning ticketing, order management, and payment/refund data. Build and maintain ETL pipelines, data models, and production automations using Action Flows and Process Orchestrator, including API calls to backend systems and integrations with AI-driven contact channels. Take over external implementation logic, reverse-engineer existing models, and harden them for in-house ownership. Own reliability, guardrails, monitoring, and auditability for systems handling millions of transactions annually. Collaborate daily with business users, data analysts, and IT engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions and document all work to Centre of Excellence standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years hands-on building production automations on process orchestration or automation platforms
- Celonis experience (Data Integration, PQL, Knowledge Models, Action Flows, Process Orchestrator)
- Experience with platforms such as n8n, Camunda, UiPath, Power Automate, or Make
- Production ownership at scale (handling transactions at scale 1M+ annually)
- Ability to talk concretely about what broke and how you fixed it
- Working SQL and data modelling basics
- Understanding of how to identify a correct case ID
- Understanding of how to control grain in joins
- Understanding of how to validate a data model against its sources
- Solid understanding of how core operational systems work (CRM, ticketing, order management, and ERP)
- Understanding of data structures, process flows, and business logic in core operational systems
- Fluency in how systems integrate (REST and SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, webhooks, rate limits, and data exchange formats JSON and XML)
- Ability to independently read API documentation
- Ability to navigate integration patterns
- Ability to reason about data flow across system boundaries
- Clear written documentation and communication in English
- Ability to leave behind artefacts other people can pick up
- Hybrid profile (thrive in a roughly 70/30 technical-business role)
- Ability to sit inside the business and gather requirements
- Ability to explain and defend technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Celonis is a strong plus
- Scripting (Python or similar) is a plus but not required
- Comfortable using AI tooling to fill gaps in scripting
- Conversational automation experience (hands-on experience connecting automated workflows to chatbot or voicebot platforms) is a plus
- We care about proven end-to-end delivery, not certifications
