Job Summary
Process Improvement Specialist role focusing on supporting fab or assembly activities with emphasis on productivity, quality, and execution of fabrication/assembly processes. Lead improvement initiatives for fabrication/assembly operation processes, identify issues via root cause analysis, propose solutions and sustainment plans, and inform Manufacturing Engineering leadership. Daily tasks include product consulting to identify process issues, support fabrication/assembly kitting, develop procedures, tooling, and equipment strategies, update JHA's and operating procedures, set up training in Powell Training Data Base, manage part flow, assist with maintenance and troubleshooting of systems, and lead projects to improve tooling, fixtures, and processes. Requires experience in manufacturing environments, weld credentials preferred, ability to read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and mechanical drawings, familiarity with ISO 9000, and CNC programming for various fabrication machines. Includes coordination with shop leadership and ME for continuous improvement, training, and documentation. Location is Houston, TX (US).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate degree preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have a basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
