Process Improvement Specialist – Digital Manufacturing & Execution System (f/m/d)

Job Summary
Design, implement, and optimize digital manufacturing workflows across Rotor, Generator, and Hot Gas Path production to ensure effective integration between shopfloor operations and enterprise systems. Take long-term ownership of the digital manufacturing execution environment, establishing standards for documentation, data quality, and electronic approvals while monitoring system adoption and driving Lean improvements. Act as the primary interface between Production, Quality, Engineering, and IT, providing ongoing training and change management to support the transition from project-based implementation to stable, standardized digital operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
- Professional experience in manufacturing process improvement, production engineering or industrial digitalization
- Practical experience with digital manufacturing systems, MES, production documentation or workflow solutions
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, production quality requirements and digital traceability
- Experience in process analysis and optimization, including AS-IS / TO-BE analysis and structured problem solving
- Experience working with ERP, PLM or other enterprise systems in a manufacturing environment
- Experience developing or implementing digital workflows, forms, reporting or process automation solutions
- Strong analytical and structured working approach, with the ability to manage complex cross-functional topics
- SharePoint + Power Automate + Power BI development/architecture
- Experience with SAP + PLM systems such as Enovia/Teamcenter
- Good communication skills in English and German
- Hands-on MES implementation and long-term system ownership
- Combination of mechanical/manufacturing engineering and software/digital process development
- Experience with large, complex, low-volume manufacturing, ideally turbines, generators, rotors or similar equipment
- Ability to design end-to-end digital manufacturing workflows, from process definition through implementation, user adoption and continuous improvement
- Experience connecting shopfloor processes, quality requirements and enterprise IT systems
- Strong Lean background combined with digital transformation experience
