Job Summary
Operate loaders and sorting, grinding, and screening equipment to process green waste and organic material into high-quality compost and mulch. Maintain safe operating conditions by performing daily pre and post trip inspections of all machinery. Work with peers to complete major tasks, including material grading and proper processing. Immediately report any unsafe equipment or actions to direct supervision. Perform overtime as needed and execute other duties assigned by supervision. Requires standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to dust, fumes, and outdoor conditions continuously.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED
- Must be able to read and understand safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions for equipment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to work outside only
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- Class A or B commercial driver's license
- Acceptable driving record
