Job Summary
Manage and maintain a balanced department with the technical skills to support short- and long-range requirements. Lead Engineering personnel by establishing priorities, scheduling projects, and ensuring timely task completion for Senior Process Engineers, Process Engineers, and Lab Techs. Balance workloads across regions, train staff to proficiency, and lead technical customer interfaces. Direct investigations into CAPA, FOI, and FMEA, presenting findings to customers while overseeing Clean room protocols and micro-contamination standards. Lead advanced statistical analysis/SPC and direct product improvements to reduce material costs and labor content. Ensure all equipment and operations meet safety standards, appraise employee performance, and liaise with customer service. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 4-8 years in high-technology manufacturing, preferably semiconductor capital equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 4-8 years related experience in high-technology manufacturing, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment or related industry
- good people and organizational management skills
- demonstrated leadership ability
- advanced knowledge in all process work stations
- Advanced knowledge of chemistries for films on substrates
- Knowledgeable in Clean room protocols, and Micro contamination knowledge
- Advanced understanding of semiconductor Process (PVD, Etch, ALD, Diffusion, etc.)
- Understands and will lead advanced statistical analysis/SPC
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull and grasp
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Required to have visual acuity to perform assigned tasks
- Ability to sit for sustained periods of time
- Ability to talk on phone and use computer for extended periods of time may be required
- Required to wear personal protective equipment where applicable
- Subject to noise levels
- May involve exposure to moderate noise levels from printers, faxes, computer etc
- Work may require out of town travel depending upon assignment (training and meeting)
