Job Summary
Intern will assist the Process Engineering team in understanding the metal additive process and hardware operation, analyze massive in-situ data sets to gain insights into physical mechanisms, execute experiments and analyze data to improve metal additive processes, perform post-build metrology measurements of material properties (tensile strength, surface roughness, alloy microstructure), and contribute to the development and implementation of tool qualification procedures. Collaboration spans mechanical, software, and simulation engineers to drive rapid iteration and data-driven improvements in metal 3D printing; candidates should have a strong data-analysis mindset, experience with Python and/or MATLAB, and be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in material science, physics, or similar engineering discipline
- Experience with experimental design
- Statistical data analysis
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience with Python and/or MATLAB
