Process Engineer

Process Engineer role focused on applying Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity, quality, and safety on the shop floor at WEG’s Duluth, GA site. Responsibilities include conducting time studies and KPI tracking, troubleshooting manufacturing process issues related to labor efficiency, quality, safety, and ergonomics, developing and maintaining process documentation and work instructions, designing improvements in process flow and equipment layout, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement changes. The role emphasizes continuous improvement initiatives (including 5S and preventive maintenance), auditing/supporting safety and quality standards, and leveraging data (Excel/Power BI) to present findings and proposals to management. Candidate should have an engineering degree or equivalent experience, strong analytical/problem-solving skills, effective communication, and the ability to influence process changes across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, and collaboration across operations, maintenance, engineering, and quality is required, with familiarity in AI/data-driven technologies considered a plus.
