Job Summary
Process Engineer role in León for a global biotechnology/chemical-focused company. Design and optimize manufacturing processes for future plants, perform mass and energy balances, prepare P&IDs, conduct technical-economic feasibility studies, lead risk analyses from industrial and food safety perspectives, define control strategies and production schedules, prepare process documentation and SOPs, train staff, estimate operating and investment costs, define main process equipment, evaluate pilot tests, lead commissioning activities, and possess strong expertise in chemical/biotech/pharma industries, SAP, process simulation, and energy efficiency. Fluency in Spanish and English and multi-project management experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering / Chemical Engineering
- Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (preferred)
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries; knowledge of biotechnological processes; relevant standards and guidelines for facility safety and environmental protection; technical expertise in batch and continuous processes; SAP; process simulation tools; energy efficiency and carbon footprint; very good knowledge of Spanish and English; ability to lead multiple projects; experience as Project Manager is a plus
