Job Summary
Design, test, and engineer production for routine to moderately complex projects from design inception to finished product. Fabricate or direct technicians in prototype model fabrication, redesign components to meet performance specifications, and supply final sketches to the drafting department. Maintain product documentation, recommend production equipment improvements, and design test equipment jigs and fixtures. Investigate production and process problems to implement effective solutions while collaborating with customers on design and manufacturing capabilities. Perform cost savings activities by examining production methods and facilities to identify areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Metallurgical, or Chemical Engineering or its equivalent
- A high level of mechanical aptitude
- Ability to translate design and process ideas to useable specifications
- Ability to work independently to develop or manage complex projects
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and/or project leader
- A high degree of customer service orientation
- Access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations
- Qualification as a 'U.S. Person' as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15
Desired Qualifications
- Three to five years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
