Job Summary
Develop and implement automated systems for product inspection, packaging, and material handling in lamination and conversion operations. Deploy artificial intelligence tools to automate job pack creation and integrate real-time monitoring systems with predictive analytics for proactive maintenance. Bridge the gap between automation technologies and employees by designing simplified interfaces and delivering training programs to upskill teams. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, production, and quality groups to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at streamlining production processes and adopting the latest advancements in robotics and IoT platforms.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 years of experience in industrial automation, process improvement, or a related role
- Proven experience in implementing AI, robotics, and real-time monitoring systems in manufacturing environments
- Strong knowledge of PLC programming, SCADA systems, and robotics integration
- Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning frameworks, and IoT platforms
- Experience with automated inspection systems, material handling equipment, and packaging machinery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to present data-driven insights to technical and non-technical audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and recyclable packaging solutions
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
