Job Summary
Develop and implement manufacturing processes for existing and new products while planning and conducting trials to optimize performance. Provide day-to-day manufacturing support, troubleshoot process or equipment issues, and investigate opportunities to reduce costs and improve quality. Interface with customers and suppliers, collaborate with internal staff to meet requirements, and develop action plans for continual improvement. Support new product introductions and work closely with production, quality, product development, and sales teams. This role reports to the Director of Process Engineering at Ulbrich Specialty Wire Products, a leader in precision metals serving aerospace, medical, and electronics industries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, or related Engineering field
- 3+ years of process engineering or manufacturing experience
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with process improvements
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with equipment optimization
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with troubleshooting
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with root cause analysis
- Working knowledge of statistical methods
- Demonstrated conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable in lean manufacturing methods such as 5S, 8D, A3 and other contemporary productivity and quality improvement methods
- Proficient with statistical analysis and quality systems
- Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment

- Intermediate-level user of MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
