Job Summary

Process Engineer – UK Water team across levels from Consultant to Associate Director. Contribute/lead process design packages for major UK water and wastewater programmes (e.g., AMP8, WINEP, SROs) including feasibility, optioneering, concept to detailed design, and deliverables such as mass balance, P&IDs, basis of design. Engage in site visits for data acquisition, liaise with technology providers, and contribute to safety studies (HAZOP, SWIFT, DSEAR, HAC/HAP). Provide design support during delivery, review contractor submissions, and aid handover/commissioning. Support business development, bid shaping, and recruitment/mentoring. Requires Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) and a strong background in process engineering within water infrastructure; comfortable with travel and UK standards, with hybrid working arrangement across London, Bristol, and Manchester.

Required Qualifications

  • BEng/MEng (or equivalent) in Chemical/Process Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer, CEng (or working towards chartership)
  • Experience in delivering process engineering design (ideally in the UK Water industry)
  • Knowledge/experience of design and operational safety studies such as HAZOP, SWIFT, DSEAR, HAC/HAP
  • Working knowledge of UK water industry standards, regulatory expectations, and safety-by-design/CDM
  • Previous experience in a consultancy environment or engineering company as Process Engineer
  • Ability to travel and visit operational works and construction sites
