Job Summary
Analyze, determine solutions, and implement process improvements to achieve production, safety, and environmental goals. Support continuous improvement and troubleshooting efforts by driving engineering changes that reduce costs in utilities, labor, raw materials, and equipment while increasing production and energy conservation. Prepare for and participate in process hazard analysis (PHA/HAZOP) initiatives, implementing recommendations and managing the MOC process using OneMOC and Velocity software to ensure timely resolution of action items. Own safety-critical documentation including P&IDs, electrical classifications, and equipment files to maintain accuracy for compliance, regulatory, and OSHA standards. Utilize DMAIC to manage projects, tracking costs, timelines, and performance against objectives while collaborating with plant teams on capital and operational initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- 3 – 5 years of professional experience in relevant field
- Skilled in developing and managing a process improvement project
- Knowledge of DMAIC process
- Ability to utilize process safety documentation such as P&IDs, HAZOPs, Process Flow Diagrams
- Experience in a manufacturing environment - safety, understand basic equipment, and plant functions
