Job Summary
Process Engineer – Palmerston, Ontario: Support development and production of high-quality automotive parts focusing on process planning, long- and medium-term capacity planning, and coordination with injection, paint, and TPS/technical departments. Responsibilities include updating process plans (ECI and change requests), maintaining capacity planning files, optimizing load balance of injection machines and paint booths, developing quotations standards, coordinating with Purchasing and Materials Engineering for raw materials, evaluating special materials, performing audits of process plans vs. floor/ERP data (JDE), creating BOM and routing in JDE, participating in kaizen activities, supporting new model development, and occasional travel (typically to the US). Requires ability to read and interpret drawings; training available. Office hours 8 am–5 pm; position is on-site with potential shift changes to meet production needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field OR 1-2 years’ related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years in the automotive industry
- Experience working with injection, paint and assembly processes in a manufacturing setting is considered an asset
