Job Summary
Provide technical leadership for plant process safety through operator and mechanic training. Manage the maintenance spare parts inventory system and execute small capital projects, including contractor coordination, new equipment installations, and system integration. Improve semi-automated and automated filling lines via process improvement projects while overseeing maintenance activities in the Plant Engineer's absence. Support plant PLCs, SCADA systems, and HMI screens, including upgrades and make recommendations to the process control engineer. Serve as a member of the plant's leadership committee. This role offers opportunities to develop professional leadership skills for growth in manufacturing management. The position is onsite at the Louisville, Kentucky facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent related industrial experience
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience with formal Root Cause Analysis
- Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident prevention, incident investigation techniques, and safety and environmental education and training

Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean Six-Sigma, Green-belt certification preferred
