Job Summary
Develop technical mastery of core production processes to improve throughput and yield while interfacing with department managers and technicians. Identify process improvements, lead material and packaging initiatives, and implement Lean Manufacturing concepts to drive loss optimization. Collect and analyze data to execute root cause analysis using tools like why-why and fishbone diagrams, supporting startups for new product launches and capital projects. Model key safety and quality expectations related to plant operations. This full-time, exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and involves 100% on-site work in the Buffalo, NY manufacturing plant, with occasional travel for Factory Acceptance Tests.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Problem solving and troubleshooting experience to identify root cause
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Possess a learner mindset
- Engineering focused experience
- Prior manufacturing operations experience
- Strong analytical skills to drive statistically based decision making
- Willingness to work extended hours and flow to the work as needed
- Willingness to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests (travel may include domestic or international travel, typically 1-2 times per year)
