Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for manufacturing design for new programs, executing Tenneco standards, analyzing capacity and defining process flow and production layout, CTQ, machine type, fixture design, and SOW for suppliers; assess manufacturing feasibility via DFM, collaborate with TJTC on DFM/VAVE items, support SQE for CTQ and gauge concept design, develop BBP based on MET view for cost saving, participate in APAC MET meetings, and work with cross-functional teams to apply BBPs in the plant. Requires knowledge of welding/assembly processes, Lean/APQP/Six Sigma (Green Belt or above), and business-level English and Japanese, with travel as needed and frequent conferences calls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience in welding and assembly process
- 3-5 years experience in process engineering at a manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of Lean/APQP/Sig Sigma(Green Belt or above) and their application
- Excellent communication skill in English and Japanese (Business level English)
- Excellent computer skills (Excel / Word / Power Point)
- Self Starter and result oriented
- Ability to work flexible hours, including travel and attending conference calls at night
- Multiple business trips per month
- Working experience with foreign companies/countries
