Job Summary
Process Engineers at Corbion are responsible for engineering efforts in lactic acid and lactates plants, engaging in continuous improvement initiatives, and managing process safety. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a comparable field with 3-10 years of relevant experience. Key responsibilities include identifying process improvements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, conducting root cause analyses, and leading process safety measures. Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in engineering practices are essential. Familiarity with food safety standards and maintenance activities is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering (or comparable engineering degree)
- 3 - 10 years of experience in a comparable role, lactic acid preferred.
- Understanding of common industrial manufacturing equipment and their applications.
- Working knowledge of food safety standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP) preferred.
- Proven experience applying engineering practices toward feasible solutions.
- Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment or work independently.
- Excellent verbal/written, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of process safety strategies including process hazard analyses (PHAs), mechanical integrity (MI) and management of change (MOC).
Desired Qualifications
- Experience managing small capital projects preferred
- Familiarity with common continuous improvement methods and strategies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Applications, as well as utilization of AI tools (i.e. Copilot). SAP is a plus.
