Job Summary
Support the design and engineering of process systems, including fluid transfer, heat exchange, and high-purity piping for semiconductor fabrication facilities. Contribute to systems involving ultrapure water, specialty gases, chemical distribution, and wastewater treatment while performing calculations such as flow analysis, pressure drop, pump sizing, and heat transfer evaluations. Assist in developing PFDs, P&IDs, and system layouts, participate in equipment selection, and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams to ensure coordinated design. Support field activities including construction coordination, walkthroughs, and commissioning, and assist with troubleshooting technical issues during design and installation phases. Ensure designs align with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Have exposure to projects in semiconductor, advanced high-tech manufacturing, cleanroom, or mission-critical facilities
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following systems: Ultrapure or high-purity water systems
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following systems: Specialty gas and chemical distribution systems
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following systems: Wastewater treatment systems (including solvent or acid systems)
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following systems: Fluid transfer and pumping systems
- Foundational knowledge in one or more of the following systems: Heat exchange systems
- Understanding of piping systems, including basic pressure drop and material selection considerations
- Familiarity with PFDs and P&IDs
- Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
- Internship or project experience within semiconductor or advanced manufacturing facilities
