Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing industrial processes to improve efficiency, product quality, and safety in manufacturing environments. Develops process definitions, optimizes equipment performance, reduces downtime, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Leads cross-functional teams, defines plant procedures and in-process tests, and trains employees. Requires a Bachelor's degree in chemical/ mechanical/ industrial engineering and at least 5 years of manufacturing and process-optimization experience; strong SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, and SOP experience; automotive OEM exposure and ISO/IATF familiarity; and proficient use of MS Office tools. Willingness to travel and work in a 24/7 manufacturing setting as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or industrial engineering
- minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and process optimization
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and statistics
- Leadership skills to drive projects and process teams
- Effective communication and cross-functional interfacing
- Hands-on capability with creating SOPs, PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams; familiarity with automated control systems and P&IDs
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Experience with Automotive OEM customers; ISO & IATF standards; auditing preferred but not required
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed
