Job Summary
Support the Dyeing Manager in achieving department goals by developing a strong safety culture, identifying root causes to eliminate work-related injuries, and tracking weekly metrics for off quality, efficiency, downtime, and waste. Lead and coach supervisors and associates across three shifts, guiding them in current positions while assisting with career development and training. Act as a liaison between the dyeing department and maintenance group, providing effective communication on work orders and areas of concern. Lead TPM, EIT, and RPT cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, safety, and quality, and participate in daily roll audits to investigate dyeing-related issues such as side match or shade defects. Monitor off quality trends to determine root causes and communicate findings to supervisors. Partner with R&D and technical groups to coordinate trial runs ensuring dyeing formulas and shades meet specifications. Communicate with the scheduling department to ensure order promise dates are met and prioritize rush orders. Conduct this work on an 8-hour non-rotating shift starting in the AM.
Required Qualifications
- 4-year degree
- Strong quantitative & communication skills (Oral, written, & presentation to individuals & groups)
- Degree in Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrate a willingness and aptitude to complete Black Belt and Standard Work Training
- Strong project management skills
- Understanding of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Minitab, etc
- Previous manufacturing experience
