Job Summary
Provide process design support through engineering phases including PEA, PFS, FS, conceptual design, front-end engineering, and detailed design. Develop process flow sheets, prepare criteria, and execute calculations, PFDs, heat and material balances, and P&IDs. Troubleshoot process issues, size equipment, and generate specifications while utilizing systems like JDE, SPRS, Synergy, Aconex, SMS, and Dochub. Coordinate with departments to ensure safe and efficient operations and stay current with mining processing technology to recommend new equipment or processes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mineral Processing, Metallurgy or Chemical Disciplines)
- 5 to 10 years of relevant process engineering design experience
- Professional engineering designation (OIQ) or in the process of registering for it
- Prior experience in an engineering / consulting firm
- In depth knowledge of process engineering, equipment, and technologies in the mining industry
- Chemical and mineral processing experience
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Excellent French spoken and written
- Good English spoken skills
