Job Summary
Develop and standardize manufacturing processes for foam converting, die cutting, and assembly operations to ensure operational excellence and scalability. Build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, Standard Work, and documentation to drive the transition from tribal knowledge into sustainable practices. Serve as the technical liaison between the Juárez plant and global engineering teams to support New Product Introductions and process optimization initiatives. Lead process risk assessments, root cause investigations, and Lean Manufacturing efforts while auditing adherence to ensure long-term stability. Partner with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement standardized work and optimize material flow and labor utilization.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced conversational English with the ability to communicate effectively with global engineering teams
- Experience in manufacturing process engineering within packaging, foam converting, die cutting, extrusion, plastics, or similar manufacturing environments
- Experience developing and implementing SOPs, SOCs, Standard Work, and manufacturing process documentation
- Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing process implementation
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing process standardization, process control, and operational excellence
- Experience conducting PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, DMAIC, or similar structured problem-solving methodologies
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, and process optimization techniques
- Experience performing time studies, labor balancing, layout optimization, and material flow analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Comfortable working in a highly hands-on manufacturing environment with significant shop floor presence
- Proactive mindset with the ability to build relationships across functions and global organizations
