Job Summary

Specialize in production areas focusing on long-term sustainable process improvements and manage day-to-day operations of manufacturing and packaging equipment. Collaborate across departments to identify improvements, design modifications for system malfunctions, and develop workflows to eliminate redundancy. Lead teams investigating equipment failures, author engineering reports, and implement new processes with full validation documentation. Perform cost analyses and statistical studies to optimize throughput and quality while maintaining safety standards. Requires a Bachelor's in engineering with two years of manufacturing experience and proficiency in AutoCAD and statistical analysis.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years' experience in manufacturing, process, or continuous improvement engineering, or related field.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in root cause analysis.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and independent decision-making skills.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D design).
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to perform statistical analysis to focus efforts on top losses or opportunities.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Must be able to demonstrate practical problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Desired Qualifications

  • Professional engineering license in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and/or Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • Project Management certification (PMP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, failure investigation principles, and/or statistical principles and analysis.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
