Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for designing, evaluating, and optimizing processes across energy production, RNG generation, and logistics; develop PFDs and P&IDs, perform mass/energy balances, identify root causes of upsets, support capital projects from front-end engineering to commissioning, ensure regulatory compliance, and mentor operations staff to improve uptime, throughput, and output quality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field
- 3+ years of process engineering experience in energy, oil and gas, agriculture, wastewater, or industrial operations
- Experience with RNG, biogas, anaerobic digestion, or renewable energy systems is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in process simulation tools, P&ID development, and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of EPA, OSHA PSM, DOT pipeline safety, and applicable state environmental regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to drive actionable improvements
- Experience supporting capital projects from FEED through commissioning and startup
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-site environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SCADA or process historians is a plus
