Process Engineer

Job Summary
Lead Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and IQ/OQ/PQ for incoming process tools, including executing qualification wafer runs, analyzing results, and generating formal pass/fail reports. Own the end-to-end transfer of at least two process modules from R&D to the kilofab environment, developing qualification plans, establishing process control monitoring, and driving Design of Experiments to optimize yield parameters. Manage tool installation timelines with Facilities and Equipment Engineering, coordinate vendor support during bring-up, and document all learnings to form the basis of future OCAPs and SOPs. Participate in the Change Control Board to drive process change approvals and maintain data integrity within the MES.
Required Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- 3+ years of hands-on cleanroom process engineering experience in a semiconductor fab or advanced materials fabrication environment
- Demonstrated experience with at least two of the core process modules listed above (PVD, CVD, ALD, dry/wet etching, evaporation, dicing, track or laser/e-beam writing)
- Practical experience executing or supporting equipment qualification or SAT activities
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (JMP, Minitab, Python/R for DOE and SPC analysis)
- Strong documentation skills; experience writing SOPs, process & tool specifications, and qualification reports
- Ability to work in a Class 100/ISO 5 (or equivalent) cleanroom environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in superconducting qubit fabrication, cryogenic device processing, or other quantum technology contexts
- Familiarity with cryogenic material constraints (e.g. film stress, thermal cycling behavior)
