Job Summary
Process Engineer responsible for optimizing pulp and paper manufacturing processes, applying chemical engineering principles to analyze, plan, and control production, design and optimize plant equipment, oversee operation of chemical processes, contribute to environmental projects (effluent and air quality), drive process improvements across chemical, mechanical, and new tech integration, champion safety, develop SOPs and training, provide engineering support across departments, and support mill goals in safety, environmental compliance, quality, cost, and productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pulp and Paper Science
- Demonstrated work experience in a related field
- Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, capable of influencing all levels of the organization
- Proactive, self-directed, and quick to learn, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience in the Pulp and Paper industry, particularly with environmental aspects, is a plus
