Process Engineer

Job Summary
Design, optimize, and maintain chemical production processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and Process Safety Management (PSM) standards. Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and root causes, while providing technical support to production teams to resolve deviations and minimize downtime. Develop and maintain documentation including SOPs, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams, and lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with R&D, quality, and maintenance teams to support new product introductions and scale-up activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (e.g., Chemistry, Process or Industrial Engineering)
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a process engineering role within a chemical manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience applying Lean Six Sigma methodologies in a manufacturing setting
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) programs in a chemical facility
- Familiarity with P&ID development and review
- Knowledge of PHA, FMEA and other risk assessment methodologies
- Experience with ERP/MES systems (e.g., Oracle)
