Job Summary
Reduce equipment downtime and scrap while improving line performance, quality throughput, and overall equipment effectiveness. Support production and maintenance projects in Extrusion and Converting Departments by developing error proofing methodologies and implementing long-term improvement plans. Create and maintain process flow, PFMEA, and standard operating procedures to optimize production phases. Provide technical inputs for incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent quality non-conformances. Drive continuous improvement by identifying cost-savings projects and facilitating process changes. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with five years of manufacturing experience required. Must have working knowledge of PLCs, automation, and high-speed manufacturing equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Technical Discipline)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong mechanical, electrical and manufacturing process skills/experience
- Must have working knowledge of PLC's, automation, and high speed manufacturing equipment
- Analytical skills and understanding of problem solving techniques/tools
- Data-driven, disciplined, objective and detail oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to act as a business partner, 'see the big picture,' and work through ambiguity and change
- Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, Access, etc) and other computer tools and software
