Job Summary
Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions that improve throughput and quality. Develop and maintain process documentation, including flowcharts, work instructions, and control plans. Conduct root cause analysis for process deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth process integration and evaluate new technologies to enhance manufacturing capabilities. Monitor key performance indicators and report progress. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering and 3+ years of experience in process optimization within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
- 3+ years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Proficient in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and data analysis tools (e.g., MiniTab, JMP, Python, R)
- Strong understanding of P&IDs, PFDs, and other engineering documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience with MES/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Familiarity with automation technologies (e.g., robotics, PLCs)
- Project management experience in a manufacturing setting
